Running DMB on Mac with Window Emulation Software

Does anyone have any experience running DMB on a Mac using Windows Emulation software? If so, was it positive? Were there any issues or glitches? I am going to replace my six year old home computer, and I am strongly considering going to a Mac like the rest of my household.

Here is a new one from Jack that came up in my 1948 AL replay in a game between the White Sox and Indians at Municipal Stadium.

Bob Feller is pitching with two out and none on in the bottom of the first. "Stepping in is Luke Appling. The 1-2 pitch hit hard down the third-base line. Appling didn't run--he thought it was foul. Keltner at third thought it was foul. Everyone with Cleveland saying it was foul. We're gonna have a beef, but the grinning Appling is standing on second with a double!"

Unfortunately, this didn't help the last place White Sox. Appling was stranded on second and Chicago blew a 9th inning lead to lose their 10th game in a row, 5-4.

Had seen this PBP the odd time and never really struck me:
paraphrasing:
"Pat Kelly at first, not a basestealing threat"
(this is Kelly the '70's of)

While Kelly's sb rating is Pr, his jump rating is Vg.

I'm thinking that an announcer PBP in this scenario would be regarding the likeliness of the runner going, not the chance of success when they do go.
Looks to be the other way around.

C.J. Wilson in a replay

C.J. Wilson started last night for the Angels, but threw only 22 pitches before a rain delay and did not return. So it was decided that he start again today. That is going to cause problems when this season is replayed using actual lineups. It will have Wilson starting back-to-back games, which technically he did, but in the replay, he might throw 100 or more pitches in the first game, and be in no condition to start the next day. I am generally a big fan of using actual lineups, but this is one example where it can cause problems.

We have an opening in the RJML, a long time stable league, 24 teams, play your own home games. This is a monthly league with very few rules and twists, so it's a great league to be in if you just enjoy playing baseball! Once a month you send in your MP, then have about 3 weeks to play your own 15 or so home games for that month and send them back in - great fit for guys with families, travel, and all that sort of stuff that makes a hectic schedule.

Great managers, and though we are mid-season, this is a team that I believe won it all last year and has Kurt Suzuki, Miguel Cabrera, Aaron Hill, Chisenhall, Rolen, Hanley Ramirez, Josh Hamilton, Heyward, Ichiro, Cliff Lee, Sabathia, Zimmerman - they are loaded!!! You don't get many chances like this to get in a great league with a strong team.

i have a league set up (1979 national).
when i try to make a trade, the responding team is available only from a list of the national league teams.
how can i expand the trading partners to include the american league?
ie, not part of the league that i am playing.

Clete Boyer in 1957: What did he do for 10 games?

This may seem like a trivial question, but it is actually very important to one of the owners in our league because of our carryover roster rules. Actually, I have two related questions.

First some background information: Both B-R.com and DMB's CPS disk show Clete Boyer as having appeared in 10 games in 1957, none of which he started. The '57 DMB database gives him 1 PA, but B-R.com says he never came to the plate at all. Neither source shows any other offensive stats for the year. So assuming B-R.com is accurate about the 0 PAs, that means that Boyer had to have been used only as a defensive sub or pinch runner. But B-R.com says he had only 1 game at 2B with 0 defensive innings and 0 chances and 1 game at 3B with 2 defensive innings. I don't know if that was 2 different games or the same game, but at the least, that means he would have been used in at least 8 games as only a pinch hitter and maybe 9 or 10, with no runs scored and no...

Just purchased the 1957 season and want to a replay, however, it does not come wih a transaction list. From various sources I can manufacture the trade, changing teams data. Does anyone know where to get a complete transactions list for 1957 that would include he promotions & demotions list, disabled list, etc.

Configuring standings to add second wild card team?

We've discussed in earlier threads how to configure the playoffs to add the second wild card team. But is there a way to tweak the standings to add the second wild card team and make the top two non-division leaders show as the co-leaders in this particular race? Looking at the Wild Card section of the standings file (pasted below), I don't see any setting that looks like it can be changed to put two co-leaders in first...

Fielding rating missing?

Anyone have any ideas on this problem:

I've played several opponents H2H this season. Ortiz has rating at 1B and Bonifacio has a rating at 2B. When I played my next opponent tonight, they did not have ratings at those positions. Why would that be?

Park factors

Don't know if this has been discussed before but I am seeking a definitive web site for 2011 park factors (ideally multi year basis). I found several but each one seems to push different values. Surely, given the need for absolutes in baseball data elsewhere, there must be absolute values for park factors. By the way, I'm looking for values for BB, 1B, 2B, 3B and HR.

Is it Possible to Change the Name of a Data Base?

I am playing a league which when I iniated the database I called it CTM2012. I really wanted it to be CTM2011. I have played most of my season, but, the name is out of sinc with my prior databases. It should have been named for the season being played, not the current year, 2012. Is it possible to change the name without messing up my season?

The NL jumped out to a 6-1 after the 2nd inning. The starting pitcher for the AL, Jered Weaver, was terrible. The NL hit 4 HR's. Matt Kemp was the MVP.
