You're right, with "use ratings" the spot starts are at zero. So, if you want to do a draft league where players are rested occasionally, you have to manually put in the percentages. My hope was that "match playing time" might cause the CM to occasionally sit a player because, I thought, that the CM would generate spot start percentages. Moreover, I though that projection disks would give the CM more flexibility because the plate appearances for players underutilized in real life are higher. I was wrong. With MPT selected, the CM does not generate spot start percentages, nor does it ever just rest the top player at a position. You have to manually put in spot percentages either way.

DMB needs a GM! Nothing fancy, just enough logic to run a roster realistically over the course of a single season.
