I was playing a game, a power outage occurred.

The game is listed as inpr on the 'schedule game screen'

when I try to reopen it I get the message that the game is being shut down.
I try and autoplay it and I get the message that there are no games to be autoplayed

please advise

While you're playing a game, DMB takes periodic snapshots of the current status of the game so if, for example, you have a power failure and you computer shuts down unexpectedly, you'll be able to continue the game later.  If the game is played to completion, this saved game file is deleted when you exit the game screen. Unfortunately, from time to time, and especially when the computer is shutdown abruptly, the saved game file may not get a chance to update correctly and it may become corrupted.  This is probably what has happened on your computer, so you'll need to delete the corrupted saved game file and then replay the game.

I suggest that before doing anything else that you make a backup of your season database by using the Backup command from the game's File menu. Just in case something goes wrong.

To delete the corrupted saved game file:

1) Start by opening Windows Explorer and then navigate to the folder on your hard drive that contains the season database you were using. For example, if you were playing a game from the 2010 season file you would look for "C:\dmb10\SD2010".

2) The problem is being caused by a corrupted saved game file, so look in the season database folder for a file with the file name extension ".dsg" and delete it. For example, "2010041700020.dsg". (The numbers in the file name refer to the game date and home team ID number so your file will have a different name than the one in my example, but the file will be of the type DSG.)

2) Once you have deleted the corrupted saved game file, open Diamond Mind Baseball, go to the Scheduled game selection window (Game >  Scheduled) and double-click on the offending "in progress" game ("InPr") as if you were going to play it. A warning message that resembles the following will appear:

When you click the OK button, you will be returned to the Scheduled
game selection window. The "InPr" indicator will have been removed from the
game and it will appear as any other unplayed game.

3) Finally, close the Scheduled game selection window, click on the Transfer
menu and choose Rebuild database indexes.

Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to replay the game in question from the beginning.
