Great share Mike about the 50's Senators, the neighborhood and the tree!  I'm a certified arborist and I love that one.  I understand Calvin used to get bigger crowds for Negro League games at the stadium.

I learned much about the fuitlity of the 50's Senators through an old 1956 Strat-O-Matic set.  I ended up pumping up the 56 Senators with the 61 Twins (the other set I had) and faced the 56 Braves in a World Series (that was a sweet team and equal to the Dodgers that year).  The series went to 7 games with the Braves winning on a 9th inning sac fly.  This was about 13 years ago and I haven't played a tabletop game since.  And really I should again.  That series sticks with me tighter than any series I've played since with SOM computer or DMB.  Maybe tabletop patience is just setting small goals like such what-if World Series matchups.  You know, I still purchase the Strat cards yearly and own quite a few of the past season sets they've put out.

A bit of trivia on Lola (Gwen Verdon) who I had a crush on when I was a lad about 13 - she was pregnant during the filming of Damn Yankees - LOL.
