If you purchase season files from Diamond Mind (including All-Time Greatest Teams, All-Time Greatest Players and All-Star Teams), you can use the Install Season Disk command to create a new database and populate it with the contents of the season file .
These products are delivered as a single compressed file that you can download from the product download page at the DMB online store. The install command takes care of creating a folder on your hard drive, extracting the files, and adding this new database to the list of databases that you can use with DMB.
To install a Diamond Mind Season File:
1. Click File on DMB's main menu bar and select Install season disk.
The following standard Windows Open dialog window will appear:

2. Click on the Look in box to navigate to the folder where you have the season installation file saved on your computer. The specific folder where your file is saved will depend on where you saved the season installation file when you downloaded it. For example, if you saved your file to the Windows Desktop, you would select Desktop as the folder to look in for your file.

3. All Diamond Mind season files are now delivered as compressed files with the ".alt" file name extension (for example, sd2009.alt, cps1967_v10.alt, etc ...). You may have received season files in the past that have a ".exe" file name extension -- DMB's Install season disk command works with both types of files.
Locate the season file you wish to install and click the file's icon to select it. Depending on your Windows Explorer configuration settings the season installation file name may be displayed with or without the file name extension (i.e. "sd2009" or "sd2009.alt")
4. Click the Open button. The DMB License Agreement appears. After you read and accept it, the Create new database window will appear.

5. In the Location for the new database box, enter the folder location where you want to store the installed season database. DMB assumes that you will wish to create the folder for this season database within the main DMB folder, but you can choose any location on your hard drive or network by clicking on the ellipsis button.
In the Name of the new database box, enter a name for the new season database or accept the name suggested by DMB.
Note - The location for the new database will be filled in for you. By default, the location will be the DMB installation folder. This is generally where all your databases will be saved, so there's no need to change this.
6. Click the OK button to continue. The installation progress will be displayed.

7. If this season file is not already in version 10 format, you will be asked whether you wish to convert it to the new format.
8.When the installation is complete, the newly-created database will be the active database.

Click the OK button to complete the installation.
