The Reds scored 5 in the 4th, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers rallied in the 7th and 8th to send the upstarts from Cincinnati out of town trailing the Tigers by 2 games despite starting the series a game ahead.

The newly resurgent (7 consecutive wins, 9 out of their last 10) Colorado Rockies are being led by their first-baseman, who hit in his 25th game in a row today. Two more will tie him with Charlie Grimm for the longest streak in the history of the League.

It is the Mile High City, after all ...
As it stands now, they would face Seattle in the first round of the post-season. The concessions stands will need to be very well stocked to handle hungry fans.

Perhaps being on the road deprived him of some medicinal help: Joe Judge's hitting streak stopped two short of Charlie Grimm's season high of 27.
When asked after the game about being asked to bunt in the 7th with his streak on the line, Judge responded: "STREAK? Hell, the GAME was on the line. It was the right call, and I'm proud that I did the job. The only streak I care about is the team's."
