The only problem is that you can be tempted to buy some. 2. Are you using the game (auto draft) to draft the players? Yes But I have found that the computer tends to leave a few positions with not enough at bats to play a season so after round 16 I go thru each of the computers teams and see what position or positions is most needed. I list 2 to 3 positions in order for each computer team. For rounds 17 and 18 (also 19 if needed) I draft the player with the most at bats for that position for the computer team. I also will not draft pitchers for my own team in rounds 17 and 18. 3. Are you using the standard 1966 data base ($14.95)? yes I let the computer generate a schedule for each league (no inter league play). I want to try the same thing, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. After I finish the draft I generate manager profiles for each team (4 man rotation) and I go through each of the computers teams to make adjustments so someone with 100 AB's is not the starting left fielder and someone with 100 IP is not in the full time rotation. Sometimes you have to go into the bench or spot starters and put in starting percentages to make things work out. Also some teams will have to go to a 5 man rotation. There will be a World Series but it will be between the team in each league with the best record (just like in real life) with no wild cards or division winners. Best of luck Wade Thank you and good luck!

Things are running smooth here and the American League Draft has been completed. I want to thank cvantuyl for his program DMB Photo Tool 2.0 and bbastyr for his stadium pictures (both can be found on this site under 3rd party tools, utilities and add ons. These guys saved me a ton of time and I really appreciate it.
Anyway the draft is finished and I used the DMB Auto draft. Like I said I am playing the Minnesota Twins so I will give a capsule review of the Twins here and the rest of the league later. I will not go through the draft do ruin it for anyone else who wants to play 1966 AL.
As you know all 1966 AL players were released from their teams and drafted into the 10 team league. There was a lot of bickering about where the draft should be held and of course NY, and LA could not agree. It was then thought we should move to a neutral team site but Chicago insisted it should be held there. In the end the draft was held (in all places) Western South Dakota.
Anyway the Minnesota Twins fans were ecstatic over the results as they got to keep 2 of their favorites in Tony Oliva and Harmon Killebrew plus the exiting young Cesar Tovar and the veteran catcher Earl Battey. The Twins should hits a lot of homeruns with their lineup and hopefully get adequate fielding
Outfield LF platoon of Roger Repoz and Don Demeter CF Tony Oliva RF Tony Conigliaro
Infield 3B/1B Harmon Killebrew SS/3B Rico Petrocelli 2B/SS/OF Cesar Tovar 1B/3B George Scott with 2B Bernie Allen in reserve
Catchers Earl Battey and Tom Satriano
The starting pitchers are Mel Stottlemyre, Tommy John, Joe Horlen and Jim Palmer. Hopefully they can hold up in a 4 man rotation as my spot starters are Howie Reed, Whitey Ford and Juan Pizzaro. My goal is to hold these 3 guys to 10 starts or so.
Bullpen Dooley Womack Closer Setup against right Dennis Higgins, Lew Burdette and Wes Stock with Bill Short, Whitey Ford and Juan Pizzaro as the lefties.
I will post the rest of the teams later.

Thanks for the help. The boxscore is not perfect but it looks better.
My Braves did not do as well as the bullpen could not hold a 2 run lead and managed to lose a run one game to the cubs.

I edited both box scores and saved them and the 2nd looks perfect and the 1st looks better.
Thanks

We are through the first weekend of the season and both of my teams are around 500. The Twins are playing through infeld injuries as Ceasar Tovar is out for 7 days and Rico Petrocelli is out for 4 days. There is a little drop off as they are replaced by Bernie Allen and Al Weiss. Another injury and one of the worst hitters ( for a non pitcher) in baseball hitter gets to play, Jackie Hernandez.
