Good day.  This is a Centralized League using Diamond Mind Baseball v10.  The league (LCBL - Lew Carr Baseball League) is currently in its fifth year.  Playoffs for the 1931 season are underway.  Upon completion, we'll be rolling out the 1932 draft.

Overview:
- 44 series are played for one season.
- One series is simulated per week.  Lineup files are submitted once a week (they are due Wednesday) with either a file for me to load or instructions for me to follow.
- Games are simulated for all GM's, normally on Saturday, by the commissioner.
- Saturday evening or Sunday morning, a complete write up of the results are sent out to the league.  The write ups are normally two to three pages in length.

GM responsibilities include:
- Conducting trades.
- Selecting players in a draft, which normally lasts about two weeks
- Submitting lineup files
- Teams making the playoffs will have their games played head to head (H2H).  Twelve teams are in the league.  Top four make the playoffs.

Team currently open includes the following roster:
Rick Ferrell - C
Clyde Manion - C
Cy Perkins - C
Eddie Phillips - C

Before the draft starts in 1932, cut downs to 25 guys (league rule) will be necessary.  There are 28 players listed above, so three will have to get cut.  This team finished in last place in 1931 so they will get the first pick in the 1932 draft.  The two best players available in the 1932 draft are Arky Vaughan and Joe Medwick.  This is going to be a fine hitting team in 1932 (a season where hitting wasn't totally dominate as compared to other seasons in the era), but its a little short on pitching (though any team with Dean and Warneke certainly has a promising future).  The franchise has one championship banner to its credit (winning the inaugural 1927 season).  It has not returned to the playoffs since.  The team plays its games at the Polo Grounds, but a new GM can either keep the Polo Grounds or switch to one of the following fields (Wrigley Field, Baker Bowl, League Park, Griffith Stadium).

Conclusion:
We started in 1927 so we are finishing up our fifth year.  Once the playoffs finish up in 1931, there will have been five different champions over the first five years of the league.  Three GM's have left since the 1929 season.  Hence, opportunities to get into the league don't happen very often.

I hope this information will interest some folks in joining the league.  Always looking for new people, so I hope you take this opportunity to drop me a line.  Happy to share the constitution for anyone interested and my thanks for your interest in the LCBL.
